Tel Aviv-based Cato Networks has raised $238m in equity investment, valuing the cybersecurity firm at over $3bn. Led by LightSpeed Venture Partners, the funding round also saw participation from Adams Street Partners, Softbank Vision Fund 2, Sixty Degree Capital, and Singtel Innov8. Cato intends to use the funding to expand its product offerings and global reach and grow its engineering and product team. HiddenLayer's platform equips data scientists with tools to monitor the inputs and outputs of AI systems and assess their integrity before deployment. The latest funding will support the startup's go-to-market strategies, R&D, and workforce expansion from 50 to 90 employees by year-end. HiddenLayer has gained traction with partnerships with companies like Databricks and Intel and Fortune 100 customers in various industries, including finance, government, defense, and cybersecurity.
