GITAI, a Japanese startup, secured $15m in funding for lunar robotics tech. The funds were raised from various sources like MUFG Bank and Green Co-Invest Investment Limited Partnership. GITAI plans to use the money to expand its U.S. workforce and enhance cooperation with government agencies and firms interested in their robotic tech. They aim to showcase their lunar rover and inchworm robotic arm on the moon by 2026. They have also planned to showcase their robotic arm on the International Space Station.

AI21 Labs, an Israeli startup known for its AI text-generating tools, has raised $155 million in a Series C funding round, bringing its total funding to $283 million. The company's products are developed on some of the world's largest language models, which are trained on up-to-date data to provide more refined control. AI21 offers AI-powered tools for developers to create custom text-based business apps, and its APIs support a range of generative AI applications. The company plans to use the funds to accelerate its research and development efforts, expand its team, and establish more partnerships across the tech industry.

Anguilla is a tiny British island territory in the Caribbean. The country's top-level domain is '.ai'. This appears to be particularly attractive to tech companies. Experts estimate that the country may bring in up to $30 million in revenue this year from its domain. Registrars pay Anguilla $140 for a two-year domain registration, but prices are rising due to demand.
